It's an entertaining book. The problem with that is that entertainment is the purpose. Skipping over many scenes would change nothing about the story. It's not my type of book — it lacks depth. Nevertheless, it is "fun." I'm not a fan of the writing style, either: every other sentence feels like informative filler. It makes for a great world and storyline, but the lack of any real meaning makes me compare it to Marvel movies.
Fun use of time, but no "benefit" to reading.
