Nothing happens, and the story itself is too contrived in the style of High Rise and Monument. Sure, the writing itself is perfectly fine. There’s nothing more to say. It felt like the whole point of the book was for the “reveal” at the end. Except it was completely pointless, and I felt nothing at all.
It's a mystery book that is not at all mysterious. It did have potential, however.
